“‘Ānavāi ho’a ‘ario” is a heartfelt tribute to the victims of the tragedies that occurred at the Papenoo River in 2022. Through the metaphor of a river with two faces, peaceful and life-giving, yet fierce and destructive, the song reflects on nature’s beauty, power and unpredictability. It honors those who lost their lives while reminding listeners to respect the immense force of the natural world.

Tu es tellement belle quand tu es calme
Ta musique résonne dans nos cœurs
Nous sommes heureux de parcourir le chemin
Pour partager et rire ensemble
Mais une fois que l’orage arrive
Tu deviens sauvage et meurtrière
Rivière aux reflets d’argent
Sous la pluie tu te réveilles
En colère tu deviens méchante
Tu nous enlèves à nos famille puis ta mélodie devient sombre à nos cœurs
