  • Pere Te Auahi by Raumata

    Pere Te Auahi by Raumata

The song is a tribute to “Pere Te Auahi” (known as Pele in Hawaiian culture), the goddess of fire, celebrated for her beauty, strength and fiery temper. She embodies the sacred power of volcanic energy and resilience. The lyrics recount her journey across the Pacific Ocean, from Tahiti to Hawai‘i, alongside Kamohoali‘i, the god of sharks, in search of a new land of life.

Pere’s story is one of rebirth and transformation, as she rises from ashes, lightning and volcanic eruptions. Her lava flows symbolize her deep connection to her native Tahiti, shrouded in golden mist. Ultimately, the song honors Pere’s eternal presence in Kilauea, the Hawaiian volcano, where her spirit endures as a powerful force of nature and life.

A revisited version of his original song “Tō’u Mau Tupuna” released in 2020. This song tells the story of the Polynesian people who navigated the vast ocean in their canoes, guided by the stars. The sea was their home and lifeline. They possessed deep knowledge of nature—reading currents, watching birds, and even sensing land by smell. Their bravery and wisdom enabled them to explore and share their culture across the islands. The lyrics honor their ancestral journey and connection to the ocean

    Words from the Artist

    “𝐓𝐚’𝐮 𝐌𝐨𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐞𝐚, My dream 🤍

This is a message of love that we are sharing with you today. A dream, a sweet melody, our story. An invitation into our world, with this unique surprise: my beloved singing in a duet with me for the very first time.

From the shadows into the light, today she reveals herself to sing by my side, with humility, for my greatest joy. In each of my songs, she has always been that little voice in the background for the harmonies. This time, we are singing this declaration of love together: “Ta’u Moemoea,” a dream we share as one.

We wrote and composed this song together, envisioned the music video together: Everything in our image: simple, deep and, above all, sincere.

    (…)

    For the very first time:
