Maha’ena by Rauhere Martin

“Maha’ena” is a heartfelt tribute to Rauhere Martin’s hometown and the memories she shared with her beloved grandmother. Imagined and created together three years earlier, the project became even more meaningful after her grandmother’s passing. Dedicated to the children of Maha’ena and to the woman who raised her, the song celebrates family, heritage and the deep love for the land that shaped her.

The Artist

Rauhere Martin is a Tahitian singer-songwriter from Mahaena, Tahiti.

She writes and performs heartfelt songs in Tahitian and French, inspired by family, love, culture and life in French Polynesia.

After gaining recognition as a finalist in the 2019 Nescafé Star competition, she released several original songs, including Ta’u Here Anoenoe, Je l’aime tant and Mahaena.

Her authentic songwriting and emotional voice have made her one of Tahiti’s rising musical artists.
